Eerlijk Bieden presented in the Lower House

The roundtable discussion

Yesterday, Eerlijk Bieden was presented by Lourens in the House of Representatives. On July 1, the Interior Committee hosted a roundtable discussion on the theme: Transparency in Bidding.

The roundtable discussion came about after MP Henk Nijboer submitted a motion to the minister asking for a consultation with the parties involved. The day before the discussion, the research results of Vereniging Eigen Huis also came out.

For the roundtable discussion, several parties were invited to the House of Representatives to explain the problems and solutions for the housing market. The day was kicked off by advocates, followed by professors. The day was closed by a number of innovative start-ups.

The answer to the question: can I trust this broker?

After all the media reports, it is clear that trust in real estate agents is declining more and more. Eerlijk Bieden has therefore launched a completely independent seal of approval which answers the question: can I trust this real estate agent?

Through the use of smart software and audits, we ensure that member brokers always work according to the applicable industry rules. Simply put, you could see us as a digital notary who oversees the bidding process.

And this is needed, according to the report by the Home Owners Association. Despite the fact that it may be caused by only a small proportion of "cowboys," it does have a major effect on the housing market.

Invitation of market participants

Eerlijk Bieden believes that with our core principles: equality, transparency and control, we give consumers (both buyers and sellers) a fair chance in the housing market.

Therefore, because of the important role of real estate agents, we want to take this up together with the industry as originally intended in 2001. So let's work together to ensure that, at least, the few homes that finally go on sale now are sold fairly.
