Do you share documents in the Dataroom? Then be careful that no personal data, or other privacy-sensitive data is shared displayed on the documents. Below we have shown some solutions to prevent this.
How do I anonymize a document?
Follow the instructions below, depending on your operating system ne the document.
Do you have the computer program Adobe Acrobat? Then read the detailed explanation on how to anonymize data on the Adobe website. View instructions
Do you have an Apple device? The standard Preview program already offers this feature:
Step 1: In the menu, go to "View" and select "Show marker button bar"
Step 2: Choose the 3rd option "Edit"
Step 3: Select the personal data to be anonymizedÂ
Step 4: Save the file

For PDF files, we have a quick solution:
Step 1: Click the "Choose a file" button and select the document on your computer.
Step 2: You will now see the document in the editor. Click on blue "Add marks" button.
Step 3: Click and select the personal data you want to anonymize. You will immediately see that it is blacked out.
